the vintage with flair, christmas market
november, 2015

this is just a quick little bloogy woogy to share what a wonderful time was had by all, at the Red
Deer Lake Community Centre last month!

the weather was perfect, the crowd was ready for Christmas (and good looking!), and the vendors revealed their Christmasy booths full of treasures and cheer.

there were fabulous outdoor shops within retro RV's, where I might have spent some of my winnings.  (hello Seven Saints Designs)
& lots of quirky old stuff (hello Mozart).

wow, what a great weekend

it was a long, long, long winter around here, but we made it through and we got to celebrate the arrival of summertime at the "Vintage With Flair" show this past weekend.  and for once we were selling, not buying, hee hee!

the sun shone for the 2 days of vintage shopping fun in the charming tiny hamlet of Priddis, Alberta.  it is the most beautiful, lush, country setting.  the show and sale was a great success for all.  g and i had 2 booths, one in the hall and one in the giant tent.  we sold a ton of great junk and re connected with some old friends and customers.  plus made a few new ones.  here's a few photos of our stuff.  if you would like to see more photos of the whole show check out "Vintage With Flair" FB page and their blog.

junk haul from the weekend

saturday was a beautiful day to do a little junking.  g and i were lucky enough to be invited to a private estate sale in the country.  then in the afternoon, we hit the our favourite hillhurst/sunnyside antique market.  nice and close and just the right size.  lot's of friendly dealers and some good scoops.  it was a really good day.

no clowning around!  he's a sprinkler! ha ha

it's an old trophy that somebody already modified for me

the red stick thingy is my favourite scoop of the day.  it's a foldable 12' survey stick from the mines.  it has beautiful solid brass fittings.

don't forget about my biggest sale of the year.
